However, it takes up to 450 years for these items to decompose, and even then, some plastic will still remain. 79% of the plastic waste ever produced now sits in landfills. To show the long-term impact that single-use plastics have on the environment, we put centuries of decomposing into perspective. But a smart car, due to its small size and agility, can weave its way through the city like no other car can.
